LABC members work cooperatively with building owners, home owners, architects, plan drawers, developers, building contractors and other professionals to ensure buildings are safe, healthy and efficient to meet the standards set by the building regulations.  Part of over 3,000 professional surveyors and building technicians working in local authorities, LABC members provide a consistent national service that is delivered locally.. 

National House Building Council

NHBC is the UK's leading standard-setting body and provider of warranty and insurance for new homes.  Their role is to work with the house-building industry to raise the standards of new homes and to provide consumer protection for homebuyers.  Any new home built under an approved NHBC professional will come with a 10 year warranty and insurance cover.

Government Endorsed Standards

TrustMark is a not for profit organisation, licensed by Government and supported by consumer protection groups. It is a quality mark which operates a framework under which 30 Scheme Operators work in the RMI (repair, maintenance and improvement) sector, including trade associations, local government trading standards teams, and independent Scheme Operators. These schemes are approved to carry the TrustMark logo and recruit reputable and trustworthy tradesmen.
